Curated by Carbon Arts through CAST (RMIT’s Centre for Art, Society and Transformation) Perceptive Power presents diverse responses to the energy and climate crisis through video art, performance and installation. Works by Melbourne video artists Keith Deverell and Ash Keating, and Paris collective, HeHe, grapple with themes relating to energy efficiency, energy harvesting, infrastructure, resource extraction, and behaviour change. Exploring what powers our economy both literally and figuratively, the works challenge our existing perceptions of the human and the natural, and how change is affected.
